Mod Bodywork is located inside the Saturn Building at 3417 Evanston Ave N, Suite 323, Seattle, WA 98103 in downtown Fremont. The building is easy to reach by several major bus lines and offers free two-hour parking for clients. The parking lot has several handicap and van accessible parking spots and a wheel chair ramp.
Please refer to your confirmation email for directions to the parking lot and building access code, which are the same for both entrance intercoms. Once you’ve entered the building, there are two options to reach the third floor—elevator or stairs.
From the elevator, turn right and proceed down the hall past the restrooms to suite 323.
From the stairs, turn left and proceed down the hall past the elevator and bathrooms to suite 323.

Life happens and plans change. Please contact me directly or cancel via the client portal by 4PM the day before your appointment to avoid the 75% cancellation fee. I also do my best to fill any appointments cancelled within the cancellation window whenever possible.

My schedule books up quickly and far out, and my waitlist is often 50-75 people deep depending on the day, so here’s a little insider info on how it works and how to improve your odds:
How to join:
Log into your Noterro portal account, go to the menu, and select Waitlists. From there, you can join for a specific date range, or sign up as ongoing, and indicate your day and time-of-day preferences.
A few tips:
The wider your date range and time-of-day preferences, the more chances you’ll have. I sometimes add ad-hoc availability outside my regular schedule, so being open to “any day, any time” rather than one specific slot meaningfully improves your odds.
Waitlist notifications go out by email and spots go fast — often in minutes. Add the Noterro email to your contacts so notifications don’t get buried or filtered.
One pro-waitlist-booker found that installing the booking side as an app (there’s an “install app” button in the site’s naviation bar) helped them snap up appointments much faster than navigating to the website and logging in, etc.
Need something specific, soon?
If you have a time-sensitive last minute need, email me directly. I sometimes have late cancellations or other openings that don’t make it to the visible schedule.

I’m continuously grateful for how thoughtful and honest this community has been about healthy and safety. It makes a real difference and I don’t take it for granted.
A quick reality of running a small practice alone: if I get sick, I can’t work. I also share my home and life with a partner who is significantly immunocompromised, so keeping illness out of my treatment room isn’t just about me. I rely on everyone’s honesty to keep this ship sailing and I’m grateful for everyone’s continued efforts to keep one another well cared for.
To that end:
I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID19 and the flu, and will continue to be masked for the foreseeable future. I ask that all clients are vaccinated to the extent you are eligible and comfortable, but masking is not required. I’ll always have extra masks on hand if you’d like one at any point.
My treatment room is equipped with an air purifier and I am happy to open a window at your request and preference.
If you have any new and unexplained symptoms of illness, including but not limited to swollen lymph nodes, fever, and rashes/blisters, please reschedule your session. This is both for your safety, as there bodywork can be contraindicated for many infectious diseases, but also to limit transmission. If you need to reschedule within the late cancellation window for an active illness, please contact me directly to avoid the cancellation fee.

I accept PIP (Personal Injury Protection) insurance claims only; if you have an open PIP claim following a car accident and are interested in treatment massage, please contact me to discuss when booking.
Please note that I am not in-network with any other health insurance providers, although my name may be listed in their directories. However, if your insurance reimburses for out-of-network providers, I can provide a superbill upon request that you can submit to seek reimbursement. If you are interested in pursing this route, please contact your insurance provider directly before to confirm and request from your doctor a prescription for massage therapy, as well as a diagnosis; although insurance may reimburse, they may require both a prescription and diagnostic code listed on the superbill and it is outside of my scope of practice to provide either.

I offer a set amount of sliding-scale sessions per month. These sessions are prioritized for BIPOC, queer, trans, disabled, chronically ill, and other community members who have otherwise been historically or systematically denied access to health care and wealth, but are available upon request for all in need. For 60 minute sessions, the scale typically ranges from $45-130 and I ask that you determine for yourself where you fall on the scale.
If you are in need of a sliding scale appointment, please email me to inquire about current availability.
-
Packages and gift certificates are available and can be purchased for yourself or others.
Packages are a great way to reduce per session cost. Please note that they are for individual client use and can’t be split across multiple accounts.

Restrooms:
Floors 2-5 have gendered restrooms. There is a single occupant, all-gender restroom located on the ML floor in the Clean Room. You are welcome and encouraged to use any restroom that suits you. The codes for all can be found in your confirmation email.
Accessibility
I want you to be able to know what to expect before you arrive so you can focus on your session, not logistics.
The Saturn Building’s parking lot has accessible parking and a wheelchair ramp near the entrance. There is an elevator to access my office on the third floor. The door is 32” wide and my table is an Earthlite Ellora LX (ADA Title III Compliant, with a height range of 18.75”-37.75”, lift capacity of 600lbs, and table width of just over 32”). I am able to assist with getting on and off the table.
I keep a large supply of pillows on hand and can prop you up in side-lying or semi-reclined, anywhere from a slight incline to 45-50*, at a height that works for you. Semi-reclined is especially helpful for prenatal clients, GERD, low mobility, those who have difficulty breathing while lying flat, or anyone who isn’t comfortable lying fully flat for any reason. You can let me know at booking, the start of your session, or anytime while we’re working together if this sounds right for you.
Sensory Information
Light
The treatment room is north facing and gets natural light. I have several curtains and dimming options if you’d like the room darker or softer. I offer two eye pillow (cooler rose quartz or warmer flax seed) options if you’d like to block light entirely and promote nervous system down-regulation. For sound, I typically play gentle, non-vocal music, but I’m happy to change the music, turn it up or down, or leave the room in silence—your call. My office faces 35th and gets some occasional neighborhood noise that can be heard from time-to-time. I also have a policy of not initiating conversation and happy to offer a silent session, but am very comfortable chatting if that’s your preference, and I’ll follow your lead if/when you’re ready to relax into quiet.
Temperature
I have a fan, AC, both, or neither available, plus a table warmer if you run cold. I offer a warm towel for your back to remove some excess oil after finishing the area, or sometimes feet if I’ve used enough to make them slick.
Scent
My products are unscented, with the exception of a mild scalp treatment, which is noted in its service description. I air the treatment room out between sessions.
Gender + Pronouns
I welcome clients of all gender identities and expressions in your iterations and evolutions. There is a pronoun field included at booking and in your intake form, but if you’d like me to use other, specific, or different pronouns or names than what’s on your forms, just let me know.
Communication During Your Session
You’re always welcome to ask me to check in less or more, change pressure, pause or stop at any point, for any reason, with zero impact on the rest of our time together. See more on this in the About section.
For questions on cost, sliding scale, cancellation policy, and more, see the sections above.
